About

I am three-time Emmy nominated producer and director. My documentaries have premiered and been showcased in many international film festivals, including Sundance, Sheffield, Hot Springs and others, and have won numerous awards, such as Online Journalism Awards, Gracies, Drum Awards etc.

Most recently, I served as a senior producer at AJ Contrast, Al Jazeera's media innovation studio, where I focused on using immersive (VR and AR) and interactive technologies to tell stories about and with the communities most impacted by injustice and inequality.

Born and raised in Lithuania, I was rewarded with a Fulbright scholarship and earned a Master’s degree in photojournalism at the Missouri School of Journalism, Columbia, Missouri, in 2014 after creating a 22-minute documentary film “Invisible Her” about American veterans with PTSD.

I started my journalism career right after my undergraduate studies in political sciences at Vilnius University. At 22, I became one of the youngest foreign news editors at the Lithuanian National Television. Later, after my master’s studies, I hosted a social media driven live TV segment and was a foreign correspondent for the Lithuanian National Television.
